The Annual Lecture of the Cyprus Architects Association, dedicated to the memory of Cypriot architect Panos Koulermos, has, since 2002, become a well-established institution within the architectural community. By hosting distinguished speakers from the international scene, the lecture has consistently contributed to enriching architectural discourse, fostering the exchange of ideas and reflections on the role of architecture today.
As part of this year’s event, which took place on 11 March 2026 at the Satiriko Theatre Central Stage, attendees had the opportunity to hear the internationally renowned American architect Steven Holl, founder of Steven Holl Architects, based in New York. In his lecture titled “Imaginary Causes,” he presented his philosophical and design approach to architecture, exploring the relationship between idea, space, light, and experience.
The presence of such a prominent figure in Cyprus highlighted the significance and continued relevance of the Annual Lecture as a key platform for architectural dialogue.
As one of the GOLD SPONSORS of the Association, members of our team attended the event, gaining valuable insights and inspiration from Steven Holl’s work and perspective.
